In 2017, I was a guest speaker at the Social Media Innovation and Online Reputation conferences hosted by African Media Network. This conference brings together professionals, influencers, and enthusiasts from various industries. This experience provided me with a valuable opportunity to pitch my ideas, network, build connections, and establish relationships with like-minded individuals, potential collaborators, and industry experts.
In the year 2021, I achieved success by securing the AEA Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) award presented by the Abuja Enterprise Agency, recognizing my commitment and diligence in promoting my initiative, Winter In Africa. This accomplishment brought me a monetary prize and assistance from The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
In 2023, my Winter In Africa foundation was officially registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria (CAC) and obtained all necessary government documents and approval. Winter in Africa was facilitated by the slow outgrowth of innovative minds in Africa. This organization is a platform where creative and innovative ideas are supported and are not taken for granted in Africa and most importantly by Africans today.
Although I secretly get scared of motorcycles, there is no better feeling than dragging yourself out to conquer your fears. Learning how to drive a powerful motorcycle not only killed my fear, but it also allowed me to know there is no limit to what you can achieve if you put your mind to it and leave fear behind.
In 2023, following the establishment of the Winter In Africa Foundation, I embarked on a study leave to Ontario, Canada, to pursue a course in Social Media Marketing bagging Distinction.
Navigating through a country I had never visited before, where I knew no one, proved to be a significant character-building experience. Experiencing life beyond Africa has been a transformative journey, serving as a game changer for me by expanding my perspective on African innovation and providing valuable insights into how the world operates outside the continent.
